Library Lion
Michelle Knudsen, illustrated by Kevin Hawkes
It’s been a long time since I felt shivers up and down my spine while reading a book. And it happened when I was reading Library Lion while standing in a book exhibition and sale. Library Lion is a book that reminds you of how powerful books can be, and how much love, magic, and grace a library can hold. And what of the librarian? The keeper of all those stories, all that love, magic, and grace? The lion in the library strengthened my truest desire to work with books forever. Although it looks like its meant for children, I think the awesome illustrations and the simple text evoke some powerful visions that even adults need.
